These are the courses I teach:
Phys10 – Introduction to Physics
This class is an introductory class for non-science majors to satisfy a core science requirement. The course is designed to be light on math; equations are discussed, but calculation is not emphasized. Students will get an overview of all branches of physics, starting with the basics of Newton’s laws and ending with quantum physics and relativity.
Astr10 – Introduction to Astronomy
This class is an introductory class for non-science majors to satisfy a core science requirement. The course is designed to be light on math; equations are discussed, but calculation is not emphasized. Students will learn the methods of science as applied to various astronomical topics, such as night-sky navigation, planets, stars, galaxies, and the origin of the universe.
Phys3A/3B – General Physics
This class is a two semester introductory class intended for non-physics STEM majors (such as biology and chemistry). All major topics in physics are covered, from Newton’s laws to quantum physics and relativity, with an emphasis on problem solving.
