My name is Cynthia Taing. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology/Human Development from Cal State San Bernardino and my Master of Science in Counseling with an emphasis in College and Career counseling from San Francisco State University. I have counseled and taught Counseling 207 and 24 in the Asian Pacific American Student Success Program (APASS) at Laney College and I also serve as the advisor to the Transfer Club. Currently, I am the faculty lead for the Transfer Center. I also counsel students on their academic and career goals.
I highly recommend you to start early by meeting with a counselor to discuss your educational/ career goals and developing a student educational plan. If you would like to make an appointment to meet with a counselor you can stop be the Counseling Department in the Administration Building/Tower, Room 301, by calling 510.464.3152 or on-line.
