Here’s the down low on the A.V.: it is down low. That is, you have to travel straight through to the back of the Laney Library and down those stairs (or catch the World War II elevator). When you reach the bottom, turn left and head to the secret computer lab in the corner, also know as the Listening Viewing Center, L101. There you’ll find the A.V. window where you can fill out the Audio Visual Request Form and check out all sorts of tech goodies: a 35mm Projector, Overhead Projector, Cassette Tape recorder, Portable P.A. System, TV/VCR, TV/DVD, CD Player, LCD Projector, etc. They will give you a cart, if that’s how you roll, or a shoulder bag if you want to look snappy. They also have videos, which faculty can check out for two days and students can use in the Listening Center.
If you are going to want an item on a regular basis, you can request it for the dates you need it, or even all semester. If you give them 3 Days Notice they will even deliver it wherever you want it and pick it up. That’s right. Did I just wake up in Norway?!
