Laney College offers facility rentals and the professional services needed to present conferences, workshops, sporting events, and stage performances. Centrally located in the heart of Downtown Oakland, the college is easily accessible by public transportation and major highway arteries, making it an ideal place to host your next function.
Our client roster includes, community organizations, professional associations, industry partners, government agencies, and faculty and administrative staff. Before submitting a Use of Facilities Application, it is strongly recommended that you read all policies and guidelines pertaining to facility rentals. Before submitting an application, please contact the following individuals to determine space availability or to reserve a date for your event:

To make reservations for event space at Laney College, a Use of Facilities Application must be submitted.
All clients are required to sign a contractual agreement when using facilities at Laney College. A certificate of liability insurance, a signed contract, 501c3 verification (if non-profit) and full payment are due two weeks prior to the date of your scheduled event.
A certificate of general public liability insurance for $1,000,000 and $500,000 in property damage that names Laney College and its affiliates as additional insured for the date(s) of the event(s) is required for each organization sponsoring an event at Laney College. A copy of this certificate must be provided to Laney College two weeks before the first scheduled date of the event.
If you are considered a non-profit organization, we require a copy of your 501c3 verification letter with your Application.
All groups scheduling Laney College facilities for an event must ensure that all aspects of the event and everyone in attendance are in compliance with all College Policies and Regulations.
Campus Security may be required for events such as dances or social gatherings that have over 100 people in attendance when deemed necessary by the Facility Services Specialist.
