Hello Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the IT team has completed the infrastructure prerequisite for the Microsoft Office 365 migration and we are ready to move your mailbox to the cloud as a part of the Peralta District’s Office 365 email transition. You will receive an email and instructions before your mailbox migration; the more prepared you are before the transition, the easier and problem-free your transition will be.
Below are Microsoft Office 365 email benefits for your awareness:
  • Outlook On the Web: https://outlook.office365.com.
  • Email with 50 GB mailbox capacity
  • Advanced email with built-in, easy-to-use archiving features
  • Integrated, automatic compliance features
  • Send attachments up to 25 Megabytes (MB), use advanced calendaring features, seamless contact management across devices, and enjoy vastly increased limits on mailbox data storage.
  • Systems scan your messages and documents for spam and malicious software (also called malware) 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Microsoft data centers help safeguard Peralta’s data and are certified to meet multiple industry-standard certifications.
  • Office 365 helps safeguard your critical data with geo-redundant, enterprise-grade reliability and disaster recovery with multiple data centers and automatic failovers and a strict privacy policy. Office 365 email will deliver reliability, availability, and performance with a guaranteed 99.9% uptime, financially backed service level agreement (SLA).
Please note that while the IT team is focused on delivering the email migration; we will implement the remaining Office 365 applications at a later time with the appropriate staff training. We look forward to a successful transition.
Sincerely,
Peralta Community College District IT Migration Team
