“Part of our role as department chairs are to ensure the success of the department’s programs, degrees, and certificates and to plan ahead. Towards this effort, countless hours are spent writing up Program Reviews, Annual Program Reviews, course updating, and hmmm…probably something else! Maybe the cat ate that one!”
The program review process involves looking at data about our students and being mindful about what matters to our department. Program Review in the Department of Dance is basically our time to reflect and make known to the college what we feel is the best way to support and provide transformative experiences for our students and to request resources—YEP- This process links to our resource allocation! And of course…the usual stuff-how what we do and how are programs, courses, and degrees link to the mission, vision, values, goals, etc…of the college and District. Assessment is another thing! Alright-let me get back to DANCE…way more fun!
