English 1A is a transfer-level course designed to prepare you to complete the writing, reading, and critical thinking skills required for college, graduate school, the workforce, and beyond. The learning objectives will include outlining, research, and revision techniques necessary for the production of successful college writing. Towards this aim, techniques for critical reading, analysis, and discussion of writing will be a significant component of the course. You may the learning outcomes here.
