Who can join APASS?

Our services are available to Asian American and Pacific Islander as well as ALL ESOL students at Laney College.  Our program is designed for those interested in exploring the social and educational issues facing this campus community.

Is there a cost to become a member?

No, our program services are completely free of charge to all Laney College ESOL students. You still have to pay your class fees.

How can I join APASS?

Visit or call our APASS Office at 510-464-3203. We are located in the Gym Building, Room Gym112 (Side of the Gym facing the pool on the ground floor). To receive APASS news about upcoming events, find us on Facebook @apasslaneygym112

What are the benefits of being a part of APASS?

  • Free on-campus tours and campus tour to four-year universities
  • Free oral translation service: Vietnamese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Mongolian.
  • One-on-one attention from a counselor to help with academic, personal, and career counseling
  • Invitations to special APASS activities, including college campus visits, workshops, and other events
  • Creating networks among your fellow students and Laney faculty
