In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Danny Beesley has helped coordinate an ever-growing team around the Bay Area who are producing PPE for essential workers for free. The network has grown since then and is expected to double the number of manufacturers utilizing that material.
This entire crisis is a massive wakeup call here in the United States, about how we don’t have the local production capacity, and how we NEED that.
Danny is actively raising funds in hopes of continuing this operation so that more masks and face shields can be produced as well as other needed items as quickly as possible. You can learn more about the FabLab’s efforts here.
