On October 22, Laney College visited the KTSF set for an interview, well virtual set, that is. Rudy Besikof, Interim President, Vicki Ferguson, Vice President of Student Services, Larena Baldazo, Public Information Officer, & Huizhen Su, Staff Assistant, shared the College’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including its Virtual Campus, new student support services, and details regarding the $1.5 million U.S. Department of Education AANAPISI (Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution) grant awarded in September. The grant is to support job training, job placement and career pathways for ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and Asian American Pacific Islander students. The show aired 10/30 & 11/1, on Business & Lifestyle, hosted by Mina Li, KTSF Public Service Director and received 98,251 impressions.
