Hundreds of East Bay Residents to Attend Laney College’s Seventh Annual CTE Open House
The award-winning Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department at Laney College will open its doors to the public for a seventh year to showcase dozens of live demonstrations from the various exciting programs it offers, including architecture, welding, machine and wood technology, culinary arts, engineering, cosmetology, photography, and many more.
Event attendees will also get the opportunity to tour facilities and classrooms and interact with Laney administrators, faculty, and students.
This is Laney College’s biggest public event of the year.
What: Laney College’s Seventh Annual CTE Open House
When: Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Laney College, 900 Fallon Street, Oakland, CA 94607
Who: Approximately 700 to 1,000 East Bay residents are expected, including youth and adults of all ages. The event is free.
Photo Oppt: Faculty and students will be using a wide-range of tools and machinery for the different demonstrations, including welding, carpentry, and computer numerical control (CNC) milling. There will also be colorful plated desserts on display, and products made from advance fabrication.
