  • If you have not already done so, fill out an Application for Admission to the Peralta Colleges (click here). You should receive an email confirming that your application was successfully submitted.
  • Then, within 24-48 hours, you should receive email notification “Welcome Letter”. If you do not get an email Welcome Letter in your inbox after 48 hours, then:
    • First, check your “spam” or “junk” folder to see if the email is there if not then,
    • Next, log in to your application account at CCCApply.org and locate your CCCID number and the date and time you submitted your application. Then, send an email to helpdesk@peralta.edu with that information, so that Peralta can help process your application.
  • Complete a Financial Aid application:
    • Apply for Federal Student Aid at www.FAFSA.gov OR
    • The California Promise Grant at (If you apply for the FAFSA, this will be automatically applied to your account, if you qualify) OR
    • The California Dream Act at https://dream.csac.ca.gov/ by the March 2nd deadline. After March 2nd, you can still apply to the California Promise Grant.
    • If you do not have your high school diploma or GED, you cannot qualify for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), but you can still qualify for the California Promise Grant.
  • One you complete an admissions application, you will receive a confirmation “Welcome” email that will contain your Laney/Peralta Student Identification Number and instructions on how to log in to your Campus Solutions Student Center and the Peralta Portal. Read this email carefully and make sure you can log in to your Passport and Portal as soon as possible.
  • Meet with a counselor. Counselors can help you select the right classes, discuss possible majors and programs, and provide resources for many of your inquiries or direct you to the right department or contact person. Don’t sleep on counseling!

  • Select your classes two different ways.
    1. You can either login to Campus Solutions Student Center and enroll in courses, or
    2. You can send an email to laneyadmissions@peralta.edu with your name, Peralta ID number, a picture of your photo ID, and the 5-digit class codes of courses you want to sign up for. They will register you for your classes. Counselors are not authorized to register you for classes.
