Financial Aid Overview

What financial assistance is available?

The Laney College Financial Aid Department provides students with access to financial aid, financial literacy, and student support services to ensure your success and completion. With financial aid, your tuition and fees can be fully or almost completely covered. This means that you can achieve higher education without having to worry about student debt.

Who qualifies and how much?

Laney College offers financial support to all students. There are need-based and non need-based financial aid opportunities available. How much you are eligible for will be determined by the Laney College Financial Aid Department. All you have to do is fill out your FAFSA application down below.

How to Get Financial Aid

  1. Apply to FAFSA (Federal Student Aid)
  2. Review your Student Aid Report (SAR) and submit the necessary documents. Your application will be processed and you will receive an email or letter with a link to your SAR. Review it for necessary corrections or updates and send the required documents.
  3. Check your Peralta email in 1-2 weeks for an update. Once you have submitted your forms, the Financial Aid Office will review your case and determine your eligibility. The Laney College Financial Aid Department will contact you when the file has been reviewed.
