My name is John Polos and I am a part time Biology Instructor at Laney College. I have taught at Laney since 2007 and I am very proud to be part of the very dedicated and organizedBiology department. At Laney, I teach the online versions of Bio 28 (human nutrition) and bio 77 (Bio 77 Business and Regulatory Practices in Biomanufacturing)
I received my M.S. in Biological Sciences at CSU East Bay where I focused on vertebratephysiolgoy (including environmental, neural, and patho physiology). For my masters thesis, I studied the use of abdominal muscles duringbreathing cycles of cane toads during stressfulconditions. I also did research work studying lymph movement in bull frogs.
