Peralta Queer Prom FAQ

Peralta Queer Prom FAQ

This event is put on in collaboration with every Peralta Campus – Alameda, Merritt, Berkeley, and Laney! From departments to student clubs to individual community members, this has been a team effort. Please join the Peralta Queer Community in solidarity and celebration, for the first ever Peralta Queer Prom!

Friday April 12
4:30-8:30pm at the Laney Bistro!

What to Wear?
Wear whatever makes you feel beautiful and good and happy! That can be a 3 tiered skirt with light art, or a tux, or sweat pants and a crop top. Queer Prom is about celebrating you (and us), wear what brings you joy!

DO NOT WEAR HEAVY SCENTS. In order to keep this event as fun and accessible we ask that everyone keeps the environment as scent free as possible. Basically, hygiene is great, but don’t take a shower in axe.

Can I come even if I can’t stay the whole time?
YES. Absolutely. Your presence is valued, even if it’s just to stop in and say hello.

Will there be alcohol?
No. Laney is a dry campus and like everything else, drinking requires consentWhile the punch will have (edible!*) glitter it will not be spiked!
*I did not research what the glitter is made of (I assume magic), I just know that according to the FDA it’s safe to digest.
