What is Summer Bridge?
Summer Bridge Programs provide an opportunity for students to prepare for the academic year by completing Foundational algebra coursework, hands-on Engineering and/or Computer Science projects , “College Knowledge” workshops on topics including advising and financial aid and an opportunity to connect to the STEM Core network

- Increase self-confidence & self-efficacy
Prepare students to take Trigonometry or Pre-Calculus courses in the Fall - Participate in hands-on robotics and engineering projects with real world applications
- Provide educational planning, advising, career development workshops and field trips
- Introduce students to STEM Core program which prepares them for tech and engineering internships
- Increase self-confidence & self-efficacy
- Summer Bridge Participants
- Get PAID($1500) to start STEM at Laney College
- Take college math to build a strong academic foundation
- Engage in Hands-on projects with real world applications
- Meet guest speakers from campus and in the field
- Learn study tips and college success skills with an advisor who will set you on the right path
- Bridge components help students successfully complete the key transition to college academics, exploring campus resources, and engaging in STEM self-discovery.

- Graduating Seniors
- Planning to attend Laney for Fall 2023
- Interested in Engineering or STEM fields (even just a little!)
- Has not taken Pre-Calculus/ Trigonometry
