Cross-Enrollment Program

 

The Cross Enrollment Program (SB 1914) allows undergraduate students who meet certain eligibility criteria and are enrolled at any California Community College, the California State University, or the University of California to enroll, without formal admission in any of the other systems.

To be Eligible:

  • The student must be enrolled at Laney College during the current semester that the student seeks to cross-enroll at a four year institution.
  • The student must pay the appropriate tuition required by Laney College for the semester in which the student seeks to cross-enroll.
  • The student must have the appropriate academic preparation, as determined by the host campus, consistent with the standard applied to currently enrolled students, i.e., completion of pre-requisites. Admission to the course is subject to availability and instructor approval.
  • The student may not enroll in a course that is offered at Laney College.
  • Student must have completed a minimum of 20 semester units and no more than 72 transferable units at the home campus with a GPA of 2.0 or better.
  • Students who were formerly enrolled at CSUEB, but were academically disqualified, are not eligible to participate in the cross-enrollment program.
  • Student must be enrolled in at least 12 units, where 6 units must be at Laney.
  • Enrollment in lower division courses at CSUEB which are offered by the home campus at any time during the academic year is not permitted under this program.
  • The student must comply with residency requirements at home campus.
  • The cross-enrollment form must be signed and approved by the Home Campus Advisor and Director of Admissions & Records/Registrar.
  • Student cannot apply for cross-registration for a term where they have either applied to or are admitted as a regularly matriculated student to CSUEB.
  • Student will need instructors' approval for the class they want to cross-enroll in.
  • High school students are not eligible to participate in CSUEB Cross-enrollment program through Laney College.

Application Filing Period:

Fall 2024: May 6 -May 17, 2024

Spring 2024: Nov. 28- Dec. 8, 2023
