Instructional Assistant

Pamela Crumpton, the Writing Center’s Instructional Assistant, is a native of California. Since 2008, Pamela has worked in various positions at Laney College, which allowed her to work with a large population of the Laney student community.

Her background as an executive in various financial institutions and focus on community collaboration has led her to some volunteer opportunities and leadership roles in Oakland, California.

Pamela works with the Network Technician to assist students, tutors, the Laney College Tutor Coordinator, faculty, and lab assistants at the James Oliver Community Writing Center.

Computer Network Technician

Terrence Fisher, the Writing Center’s Network Technician, was trained by Albert Watson, former Senior Instructional Assistant and an associate of James Oliver. In the tradition of past Lab Managers, Terrence runs the day-to-day operations of the James Oliver Community Writing Center with Pamela Crumpton, the Instructional Assistant.
