Laney College is proud to announce a remarkable achievement from its Architecture Department: 100% of the students who applied to transfer to UC Berkeley’s architecture program in Spring 2025 were accepted. In total, seven students are transferring—six to UC Berkeley and one to the University of Michigan for a master’s program.
This outstanding outcome reflects the department’s rigorous academic preparation, hands-on studio work, and strong transfer support. It also speaks to the high level of student dedication and the powerful impact of Laney’s faculty mentorship.
The data was gathered through a survey conducted by the Laney Architecture Student Club, which continues to play an active role in peer support, project collaboration, and community-building.
With a curriculum grounded in real-world projects, interdisciplinary learning, and a deep commitment to equity and access, the Architecture Department continues to serve as a launchpad for aspiring architects. The 2025 transfer results reaffirm Laney College’s role as a leader in design education and student success.
