Laney College proudly hosted the 2025 Peralta Colleges Student Art Exhibition at the June Steingart Gallery, on view from April 16 through May 21. The juried show brought together outstanding work from 60 student artists representing Berkeley City College, College of Alameda, Laney College, and Merritt College.
Showcasing a dynamic range of media—including ceramics, sculpture, drawing, painting, and printmaking—the exhibition highlighted the incredible creative talent across the four colleges. The gallery buzzed with energy during the public reception on April 30, where over 150 guests gathered to view the work and celebrate the artists.
Three student artists received top honors for their work:
Erica Morris – Best Painting
Emmet Bush – Best Other Medium (Drawing)
Donald Diggs – Best Ceramics
These awards were made possible by the Norma Hongisto Scholarship Fund through the Peralta Colleges Foundation.
Laney College was honored to host the event, providing a vibrant platform for student artists to be recognized and appreciated by the community.
