English 010A/B & 210 A/B is a course designed to survey major genres of creative writing. The lectures will consist of close reading, analysis and interpretation of creative writing in preparation for the development of your own creative work. Towards that aim, the course will also include writing workshops during which you will receive feedback from peers on the creative writing you generate as a result of our literary exploration. By the end of the course, you will have created a portfolio or chapbook of your own creative writing, as represented by the genres explored in class.
My approach
In this section of Creative Writing, we’ll explore poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and dramatic art forms through an AfroFuturist theme. You may find some of the work previous students have completed here.
