The Adult Education Program is a consortium of Community Colleges and Adult Schools in collaboration with Community Based Organizations to enable adults (18+) to advance education, obtain employment & improve wages through a comprehensive California partnership.

The Asian Pacific American Student Success (APASS) program is designed to serve its large and diverse Asian American and Pacific Islander (API) student population, increasing student engagement and improving educational outcomes for this student cohort.

The Laney College Eagle’s Nest fosters a culture of holistic well-being by helping to eliminate life barriers, such as food, housing, and economic injustice, that may jeopardize students’ academic and personal success.

The CalFresh Program, federally known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), issues monthly electronic benefits that can be used to buy most foods at many markets and food stores.

The Laney CalWORKs Program “LaneyWORKs” is dedicated to providing a wealth of support services to ensure each student achieves academic success.  Our goal is employment; to assist CalWORKs students to transition from public assistance to economic self-sufficiency.

We provide support with career exploration, self-assessment as well as the major and career decision making process to help all Laney students achieve career satisfaction and success.

Child Care Center

Child Care

Laney Child Care provides free, low-cost and full-fee child care. Full-fee openings are available for families who are over the State income ceilings guidelines or for families who are with an Alternative Payment Program.

Counseling

Laney Counseling provides students with academic, career and personal counseling necessary to successfully reach their goals. Counselors are available to help you develop an educational plan of courses needed to reach a goal of an Associate’s degree, transfer to a four-year institution, or completion of a certificate.

 

Employment Services Center

Employment Services

Providing excellent referral services, events, activities, programs and resources to assist Laney students and alumni in their job search. We assist in building a competitive set of skills to prepare for the job search. We empower students to develop their job search strategies and how to best approach job opportunities and internships efficiently.

EOPS, CARE & NextUp

Our programs encourage the enrollment, retention and transfer of students handicapped by language, social, economic and educational disadvantages while facilitating the successful completion of student’s goals and objectives in college.

FabLab

FabLab

The FabLab is a digital fabrication shop at Laney College open to all current students, faculty and staff. We provide hands on training on advanced manufacturing tools and equipment and have technicians available to help support your project from design to fabrication.

An alternative high school that provides Bay Area students with an opportunity to experience success in an academically rigorous, supportive, and safe environment as they pursue their high school diplomas and transition into college through concurrent enrollment.

Wellness Center

Health & Wellness Services

De-stress and get connected to Laney Mental Health services, including getting connected to resources, learning about mental health groups or signing up for individual therapy sessions.  Laney students can receive up to 8 mental health therapy sessions from our team of therapists and therapists trainees, in-person or online.

Office of International Education

International Education

Peralta Community College District is committed to international education and to providing quality student support services. International students are defined as any citizens of a country other than the United States who have or will need school authorization, under federal laws, to enroll as non-immigrant (F-1 visa) students.

Latinx Cultural Center

The Latinx Cultural Center program assists Chicanx/Latinx students to be successful at Laney College. We can help you to apply for financial aid and enroll in classes. In addition, we are a welcome center and an information and referral source.

The Foundation supports academic excellence and success throughout the District by building partnerships in the region to raise funds for scholarships to committed students and financial support to the four colleges that comprise the district.

The Laney Puente Program supports students to transfer to four-year colleges and universities. We combine accelerated instruction, intensive academic counseling and community leadership opportunities. While the focus is centered on Latinx literature and topics, the program welcomes students from all ethnic, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds

Restoring Our Communities (ROC)

Restoring Our Communities

Restoring Our Communities (ROC) is an academic support program designed by formerly incarcerated people to serve formerly incarcerated students. ROC provides a safe space for students and features a pathways model to support students in obtaining a Career Technical Education certificate/degree, an academic AA/AS degree, and/or transfer to four-year universities.

Roots Community Health Center provides basic medical care for all enrolled Peralta students from all Peralta College Campuses, including Berkeley City College, College of Alameda, Laney College and Merritt College.

Transfer Track

Transfer Track

Transfer Track is a learning community of students who are planning on transferring from Laney to a four-year institution. Students in the Transfer Track take classes together on campus and are enrolled full-time. Classes in the program are selected to fulfill General Education requirements to help speed up the time to transfer.

At the Welcome Center we are here to assist you with applying to Peralta Colleges, adding/dropping classes & filling out financial aid forms. Additionally we can help with:
