- AFRAM 001: Introduction to African American Studies
- AFRAM 030 African American History: Africa to 1865 OR AFRAM 031: African American History: 1865-1945
- AFRAM 035: Women of Color OR AFRAM 023: Perceptions of African American Women*
- If you are also pursuing the Ethnic Studies transfer degree, Women of Color is a required course
Arts and Humanities: Select a minimum of one course from the following list to equal 3 units
