  1. Wednesday, October 13th, 12 pm-1:30 pm: Co-existing and navigating Oaxaca and California as an Indigenous-Latinx-Migrant
    • Fabiola Santiago (@OaxacTheTalk) is a Central Valley Zapotec from Santiago Matatlan, Oaxaca, Mexico. This workshop will unpack the power dynamics and harmful hierarchies within Latinidad and within the nation-state of Mexico. Fabiola will present the power of regenerative and Indigenous-centered education and food sovereignty as a Latina, Mexicana, Oaxaqueña, Zapoteca, and Matateca. She will share about her activism, work with Mi Oaxaca, and lead a dialogue on the importance of connecting with ancestral roots and engaging in decolonizing efforts that center indigenous sovereignty.
