Join the Poor People’s Campaign for a teach-in focused on the power of your vote in defending democracy and envisioning a new America.  Co-sponsored by the Laney Poor People’s Campaign Teach-In Committee, Associated Students of Laney College, the Women’s Economic Agenda Project, and Umoja-UBAKA.

Speakers include  Professor Scott Godfrey teaching about the Electoral College and Democracy, Mike Hutchinson from Oakland’s Public Education Network, Rachel Harralson from Parents’ Voices of Oakland, Talya Husbands-Hankin from the Homeless Advocacy Working Group, speakers from Youth vs. Apocalypse, Gloria Sandoval from the CA Central Valley Journey for Justice, and Adele Rey speaking about the working conditions of part-time faculty, among others.
