Blanca Montes de Oca retired from Laney College in the summer of 2022. She began her career at the college in the Fall 1985 as a student worker in the counseling office. In 1987 she was hired by the ASLC office, under the supervision of Emma Walker. In 1995 she received a permanent position as a Senior Clerical Assistant, when the Assessment office first opened. After 9 months, her position was upgraded to Student Personnel Service Specialist, the same position that retired as, under the supervision of Dean Mildred Lewis.
