Welcome to Laney’s Ceramics Studio in Oakland, California.Our program offers Day, Evening and Weekend ceramics classes at all levels of ability in a relaxed, fun and creative environment. Our low cost as a government funded program offers an unmatched value in the East Bay Area and we are conveniently located near the Lake Merritt BART station.
Ceramics is the art and science of making objects from inorganic, non-metallic materials by the action of heat. It’s a highly tactile art that engages the mind and body.
In 2006, Laney College completed an all-new, state of the art building devoted to the Arts. The new facility caters to both complete beginners and veteran ceramics enthusiasts.
