About Me: I started teaching at Laney College in 2016 and I currently teach several of our foundational courses related to construction practices, contracts and sustainable construction.  I have over 15 years of experience in the construction management field.  As a licensed general contractor, real estate broker and a certified energy analyst I have a diverse background and bring all of my professional experience to the classroom. I love teaching part-time and sharing my knowledge with others.  I miss teaching face-to-face, but I have fallen in love with distance education.  Over the last year, I have taken several professional development courses to become a better online instructor.  Completing these courses really got more excited and encouraged to teach online!  So much so, that I’m currently serving as an Instructional Designer and the Distance Education Co-Coordinator at Laney College. I enjoy supporting my fellow colleagues with learning more about Canvas in an effort to become better online instructors. When I’m not working, I love completing DIY construction projects around the house, gardening, cooking, hiking and spending quality time with my family.
