For 10 years, the CTE team at Laney has hosted the Career Expo and Open House to help young people explore their interests and achieve a fulfilling career. We showcase a diversity of fields with hands-on tours, demos, and exhibitions. We also provide direct access to industry experts and career professionals, so that you can explore real pathways to a successful future.

Who is this event for?
Anyone interested in career & technical education! The event may be most interesting to high school students and job-seekers as well as teachers, counselors, parents, and non-profit staff who work with high school-age youth/young adults. But the event is open to the public, and we HIGHLY encourage everyone to bring a friend or prospective students.
**To teachers and counselors: Each year, we offer a small stipend to those in the community who facilitate students to attend this event. We have a limited number of stipends. Please select this option at checkout if you will be bringing students with you to this event. We will contact you with further instructions. Deadline April 1st, 2022.
The CTE Open House will take place on Saturday, April 23rd. Laney College is right across from the Lake Merritt BART Station. There will be free parking on E. 8th street. If you are organizing a high school group and you need help with logistics, please email Kim Gonzalez at email@example.com.
The campus is OPEN and we are so excited to see you! As a reminder, anyone visiting the campus must be vaccinated or have an exemption on file.
Note, anyone visiting the campus is still required to wear a mask as well.
Exempt students: Obtain exemption forms Here, scroll toward the bottom of the page within the ‘students’ section. Complete the forms and send to HR@Peralta.Edu.
Prior to visiting the campus, students and staff should provide their campus shield badge.
