    Your Steps To Getting Started

    Getting started at Laney is easier than ever. Follow the steps below to complete your submission, connect with campus resources & register for classes.

    New to Peralta, or haven’t taken a class at a Peralta college in the past two main semesters? Start here.

    How To Get Started

    Curious about the programs we offer? Explore our learning & career pathways ➜

    1. Create your CCCApply Account ➜

    Create a new account or sign in if you already have one.
    Select Start New Application and complete your submission for Laney College.

    2. Save Your Confirmation Number

    3. Check For Your Welcome Email

    Within about 30 minutes, you'll receive your Peralta Student ID number, student email, and login information by email. Returning students will receive a Welcome Back email with their existing Student ID number.

    Complete Orientation
    Meet With A Counselor

    Meet with a counselor to create your educational plan and prepare for registration.

    Schedule An Appointment ➜

      • See a counselor to complete your Educational Plan and get English, Math, Chemistry, and other prerequisite classes cleared.
      • If available, have a copy of your high school or college transcripts.
      • Contact Information: laney.edu/counseling
      • Walk-in: Check online for the most up-to-date drop-in hours. Counseling is located on the 3rd floor of the Library

    Register For Classes

    Once you've completed the previous steps, you're ready to register for classes using the Student Portal.

    Pay Your Fees
    Pay at the Cashier’s Office (Building A-201), or go to the Financial Account tile in Campus Solutions to pay your fees.
     
    *To avoid being dropped from your classes, pay your tuition by the payment deadline shown in Campus Solutions.
    Get Your Student ID
    Bring a valid photo ID and your current class schedule to the Welcome Center (Building A-101) to receive your Laney student ID card and semester sticker.

     

    Get Your Books & Course Material
    You can purchase your textbook at the Peralta Campus Store either online or located in the A Building.

    Welcome Center

    Assisting new and returning students navigate enrollment and access key student services. The Welcome Center provides support for setting up accounts, applying for financial aid, adding/dropping classes, and more.

    Also offering information on student support services, scholarship opportunities, and photo ID services.

    Go To Wellcome Center
