Laney Women's Basketball
The Laney Eagles Women’s Basketball team competes in the Bay Valley Conference as part of the CCCAA. Known for their grit, teamwork, and resilience, the program has produced standout players, playoff runs, and inspiring seasons — including a deep postseason push with just six active players. Led by a dedicated coaching staff, Laney’s women’s basketball team continues to develop strong student-athletes both on and off the court.

Seven Eagles Advance to the Next Level
Laney College led all California community colleges with seven women's basketball student-athletes signing to continue their academic and athletic careers at four-year universities following the 2025–26 season.
Three Eagles will compete at the NCAA Division I level:
- Sophia Askew-Goncalves – Grambling State
- Ashanti Dias – Long Beach State
- Gianna Ghio – Cal State Bakersfield
Additional transfers include Kenya Craven (Cal State Dominguez Hills), Erinn Gardhere (University of Texas at Tyler), Nicole Guzman (La Sierra University), and Nomen Iselen (Queens College).
