Laney Cosmetology Licensing Exam Information
Instructional Materials: Milady Textbooks (Cengage).
After completing 1600 clock hours and all required practical operations and lecture hours, Students are qualified to take the Cosmetology licensing exam.
The exam consist of 100 questions. Candidates complete the exam on a computer . Students may choose where to take the exam at various testing sites within California . Locations of testing sites can be found on www.barbercosmo.ca.gov.

Candidates who successfully complete the written exam will receive their license immediately.
Candidates who do not pass the exam can reapply to take the exam again.
