Apply To Laney College

• To begin the application process, you will need to create an account OR sign in to OpenCCC, fill out the application for the semester you intend to enroll in and submit.
• Be sure to read through the instructions carefully to expedite processing. After submission, you will immediately receive an 8-digit confirmation number that starts with the number 2. (Save the confirmation number).
• You will be emailed your 8-digit Peralta Student ID number, password and student email within 24-48 hours after application submission.
• A returning student will receive a Welcome Back email and their Student ID number

Complete the Online Orientation

• First-time college students must complete the Orientation in order to receive an enrollment date and enroll in classes. Go to estudentsuccess.com/california/laneycollege
• English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) students can complete the ESOL orientation and Guided Self-Placement at laney.edu/esl/

Apply To Be An AB540 Student

• Apply to be a AB540 Student (allows you to pay in-state tuition)
• Make sure you have completed the College AB540 Residence Form
• If you need help check in with Laney UCRC to review the forms.
• Then send the forms to: Laney’s Admissions & Records Office, Building A, Room A-109.
• It usually takes 5-10 business days to upload your information into our computer system.

• Create your Student Education Plan (SEP), register for your classes on Campus Solutions

Apply For Financial Aid & Dream Act

• For AB 540 students, you must complete the California Dream Act Application.
• Fill out the California College Promise Grant Application
• 5-10 business days after you have completed & submitted your California Dream Application come to the financial aid front counter; additional paperwork is required.
• Laney’s school code is 001266

Get Your Student Photo ID Card & Semester Sticker

Bring a valid picture ID and your current class schedule as proof of enrollment to the Welcome Center (Building A-101) and have your picture taken to be issued your student ID card and semester sticker.

Purchase Your Textbooks

You can purchase your textbook at the Laney Bookstore located in the lower level of the Student Center or through the online bookstore.
