The Harriet Tubman Collective (HTC)
From 15 minute workshopping with Laney students (“Ain’t No Turnin’ Back! work in progress, 2016) to choreography rehearsal with students and members from the Ghana Dance Ensemble at the National Theater in Accra, Ghana (2017) to commissioned choreography for Dimensions Dance Theater (“Ain’t No Turning Back” excerpts, 2018) to full-stage musical theater production (“Araminta, Harriet Tubman Lives!- National Theater of Ghana, 2019) to the musical film (2020), the Harriet Tubman Collective, founded and directed by Andrea Vonny Lee is a traveling performance project honoring the life and resiliency of Araminta Harriet Tubman-Davis through dance, music, storytelling, and mixed media.
