The Laney College FabLab is a digital fabrication shop open to all current students, faculty and staff. The FabLab is free to use and available to all Laney students. No prior experience is needed to use the FabLab. All that’s required is a willingness to learn and a pair of closed-toed shoes.
Digital fabrication is a workflow for creating physical objects through digital design technologies and automated tools.
Our mission is to provide equitable access to the world of digital fabrication. We strive to ignite the joy of making in all students, cultivating a community where creativity, safety, and craftsmanship converge. Our experienced staff provides comprehensive training in equipment usage and safety, access to the necessary software, and basic materials for all of our machines.
