Athletic Facilities

Laney is located in the heart of beautiful Downtown Oakland and has some of the most advanced and digitally upgraded facilities of any Junior College in the state. Laney College is dedicated to providing its student-athletes with the most up-to-date equipment and facilities possible, while housing it's facilities in one of the most progressive communities in the country.

Our athletic facilities have been a popular location for production companies, as professional athletes like Stephen Curry, Marquette King, and Abby Wambach have used our facilities for commercials and promotions.

Laney College Athletic Facilities

Laney College is proud to offer premier athletic facilities that serve our student-athletes, local universities, and community partners.

Fields & Stadiums

Baseball Field: All-weather and lighted, resurfaced in 2022. Used by Laney’s team as well as several local universities and semi-pro teams.
Football Field & Track: Resurfaced in 2023, home of the Silver Bowl (Oakland Athletic League Section Championship) and the OAL Track & Field Championship. The stadium is also the annual practice site for the Foster Farms Bowl.

Indoor Facilities

Gymnasium: 2,000-seat facility for volleyball and basketball. Hosts local high school playoff games, professional tournaments, and AAU events.
Athletic Field House: 18,000 square feet of locker rooms, a training room, weight room, team meeting rooms, and classrooms. Includes a kitchen and BBQ area for team meals and special events.

Aquatics

Swimming Pool: One of the fastest and most picturesque in the area, home to Laney’s water polo and swim & dive teams competing for conference championships.
