- Mission Statement: The A2mend club at Laney College will empower African-American men and other men of color to thrive academically, professionally and personally by providing culturally, responsive, peer mentoring, leadership development, and career readiness programming. We commit to regular meetings partnering with campus programs (counseling, Umoja, career services) sponsoring professional development and community events and supporting members to attend A2MEND trainings and the annual summit. As a student centered charter, we will track participation and outcomes, store end of term reports with A2MEND and ASLC and advocate for policies and resources that remove barriers and expand opportunity for our brothers.
